Tutorial overview:

Requirements: 3ds Max 2009 and Vray 1.5 SP4

In this tutorial, we will render a basic exterior scene, in day and night lighting situations. All this with the help of the Vray Sun and Sky system, and the gamma 2.2 workflow!

This gamma 2.2 workflow combined with vray sun and sky is a much debated subject, although I don't understand why because it looks finally real out of the box, without all these weird tweaks some people are using to make it look right. People tend to say that images will look washed out, that there is no contrast, etc... We'll prove them wrong :-)

So we'll start rendering right away with gamma 2.2 in mind. We'll add and setup the vray sun/sky system. Then we'll go over the VrayPhysicalCamera settings and show how to use them correctly. Finally we'll convert day into night with a few easy steps, and then render out high quality images and do some post work in photoshop.
